Once you have added your security key to your account, it can be used as your second factor for multi-factor authentication. This is convenient if you do not have access to your phone, or are in areas where connectivity may be limited. To use your security key for MFA:

  1. Visit the Microsoft 365 sign-in page

  2. Enter your email address provided by your organization and choose Next

  1. Enter the password for your account and choose Sign In

  1. When prompted by your browser, select USB Security Key and tap the physical button on your security key

  1. Enter the PIN for your security key and choose Next

  1. Tap the physical button on your security key once more to confirm

  1. Congratulations! You have now signed in using your security key!
