Setting up 1Password on Windows

1Password allows you to access your saved credentials from your PC.

Setting up 1Password app

  1. Click the Start menu, then search for 1Password

  1. Once in 1Password, click Sign In

  1. In the next window, enter your email address and your domain for 1Password. If you do not know your domain, contact IT to provide it.

  1. Once entered, choose Sign in with Microsoft

  1. Your web browser will automatically open. Sign in with your Microsoft account. Once complete, choose Open when prompted.

  1. Next, you will be prompted to Transfer your encryption key. To do this, open 1Password on the web by visiting [yourdomain].1password.com

  1. Once signed in, you will be prompted to allow the transfer of your encryption key.

  1. Copy and paste your encryption key from your web browser to the 1Password application

  1. Once complete, you will receive a message stating your 1Password app is now linked to your account. Click Done to dismiss this message
