Adding a Network Location to PlanSwift

If you need to map a server/add a location to PlanSwift, this article will walk you through the steps to do so. This article showcases how to do this on PlanSwift. 


Check if the Server is Mapped to Windows

The first thing you will need to do is ensure that the server location is mapped to your PC. To do this, follow the steps below: 

  1. Open File Explorer and Navigate to This PC
  1. Check that the server network share is mapped. It will appear under your "C:\" Drive in the Network Locations section

Add the Network Share to PlanSwift 11

Once you ensure the server is mapped to Windows, you will be able to add the share to PlanSwift as a folder. To add it as a folder, follow the steps below: 

  1. Open PlanSwift
  2. Click the Settings tab on the top menu
  3. Select Data Storage on the sidebar
  4. Under Data Storage Locations, select New to add your network share

  1. Enter a desired Name for the share, then select the "..." under the Folder tab to browse for the network share
  2. Choose the appropriate folder on the share that you need mapped
  3. Select Finish when complete
